Someone told me that if i installed a 10-15PSi fuel pump infront of my fuel pump on my 97 diesel that it would keep the line pressure from falling. becuase when you dump the throttle it makes the pressure drop to below 1 PSi and this person installed one on there and said he got better fuel milage and better performance. i was wondering what yall thouhgt

If you have a '97 Dodge diesel, then you have no fuel pressure issue unless you are running some SERIOUS horsepower.

The 12V engines get around 35psi of FP. You have PLENTY of fuel line pressure on your truck and the engine is operating within its design.

If it's more MPG you seek from a 12V, then try resetting the timing to 16.5°, and swapping the fuel plate to a #10, #11, or #12 TST plate.

I'm a 24V guy, and my 12V knowledge isn't the sharpest, so maybe a 12Ver will chime in here.
