Fuel pressure problems?

I installed my Adrenaline with pulse, an Airdog 150 and a drawstrawI from Vulcan. Sometimes I read 20psi and sometimes it only wants to push 12psi and I have had it come down to as low as 8psi on WOT. Most of the time it runs around 17-18psi but just takes fits as to what it wants to push at any given time. Anyone know why the Airdog is doing this or is it an Adrenaline problem? What is the safest PSI to drop to without hurting the vp44? I just installed my new vp and airdog and adrenaline a couple weeks ago and do not want to already be frying the vp.

Any Idea's?

With the known Adrenaline fuel pressure issues I'm going to say that is your problem. Buy a real mechnical gauge and a needle valve.

8psi is pushing it, I wouldnt want less than 10 especially on a new vp. Like mcoleman said get a mechanical gauge and needle valve. You can get a good gauge without an isolater for less than $50 and get a needle valve and mechanical oil pressure gauge tubing kit from any parts store for about $15. Look here http://www.dieselmanor.com/dipricol/c307425opx_fuel.asp you will also need a banjo bolt http://www.dieselmanor.com/dm_products/DM-DBBLT.asp

You can run bigger lines if you're worried about the drop, but if the worst case scenario was 8 psi I'd run it as is.

8psi on a new pump is scary. I have the big lines installed and also a big draw straw. I checked the fuel filter and replaced it with nothing changing. My issue is sometimes it will run at 20psi and sometimes it wants to run at 10psi. Why does it not stay at 20 like it should. Maybe a bad pump?
