fuel plate or gutted afc?

hi guys, ive been thinking about upgrading my fuel plate or to gut my afc. with my truck beeing stock, what would you guys recommend?

Fuel plate with no reservations. Or grind your stock one.
If you gut the afc you cannot control smoke other than your right foot. No real power is gained after low end.
A plate swap will cause auto trans or clutch issues!!!

what would be a safe plate for my truck or how much can i grind off my stock one? what part would i grind off?
