Front Bumper

I would like to replace all the plastic junk that comes with a stock bumper with a nice rugged bumper. Do any of you guys have any recommendations for a tough after market front bumper? THANKS

I hear that it takes a while to get them though.

OffRoad Alloys makes my favorite bumper, but I can't swing the $3K or so!

I'm also a fan of the Off Road Tech tube bumpers and the Ute Bullbar.

Aluminum is the way to go, imho.

I have an ARB Sahara Bar on mine. ~$1100 shipped from Sam's Offroad in Tulsa. It has a mount for a Warn M15000 winch, foglight mounts, two holes in the top to mount lights under the chrome tube, and two holes to mount antennas near the outer edges. The frame mounts include built-in tow hooks, as well. It's also airbag-compatible. You can see a couple of pics of it mounted on my truck on my little "website."

Hey JIM, is what is the ARB constructed of? I couldn't really tell by the pics. You have a nice looking truck. Is there a site I can go to, to see the ARB's available? I need something like DODGE4X4 has I think. I have a habit of running over or through stuff. DODGE4X4 is that just a homemade/shopbuilt bumper, or did you buy that somewhere in TEXAS? I noticed it is like everything else in TX, it's BIGGER!! LOL!! DODGE is yours built for a winch? Thanks for the info fellows.

No mine is a King Klaw but they went out of business here in Texas. There are several different brands that you can look at such as Ranch Hand and Trail Ready. Ranch Hand bumpers look nice and are somewhat strong but I think they are over priced. Let me know if you need more help from me I can find you a bumper or send you some plains to make your own.

Yet another option is the Denver OffRoad bumper. Layne makes a very nice bumper.

Cardboard.

It's regular old steel, not stainless or what-not. www.arbusa.com is the website, but there's only one Dodge model available. They make 'em for lots of lesser vehicles, too, though, such as SuperDoodies and so forth...

Yes he does.

Only 130 lbs, lot lighter than a comparable steel bumper.

Hey BARRYG or PHOX, that DOR looks like the right one for me. Where can I find some info on them? Is the bumper actually strong enough to take the pull of a 12000 WARN ? I don't know if I even want a winch. You guys know how it is with all your buddies that get stuck at midnight, they call you cause you got a winch. I don't need that aggravation. I would like some more info though on the DOR.
