no you don't... only when you're hot rodding it... and you've gotta do that with any plate setup.

don't remove your plate, just grind it flat even w/ the deepest point on the plate. you can put a taper on the base if you want to control the fueling curve. I just tightened my AFC a little.

runs great!

Hey now... I took a regulator off a welder and a grill propane tank and ran bottle pressure to the intake of my old 1999 F350 PS on a hobbs switch set at 15psi. It ran like a raped ape. Had it like that for a year before I sold it and bought the cummins. I'm sure I was just lucky though. But **** if that truck didn't move.

I've never seen that happen to an ape before, but I've always wondered how big that guy was and what he looked like after he got caught

why did he only mention 94-97 models? Im 100 percent sure I own a 98 12V that I did this too back in 98 BEFORE i went to a TST plate......

I DID HAVE A 7.3 IDI-IT WAS MY FIRST DIESEL THEN I HAD A 97 POWERJOKE...THEN I GOT SERIOUS AND GOT A CUMMINS.
