what free mods if any, are there for standard output 24 valves? if not what are cheap, best bang for buck mods?

You could pull silencer ring out of turbo and plug wastegate hose for starters.

 

pluggin the wastegate without a boostfooler will only trigger a code.

now the best bang for the buck is going to be a used comp. 120 hp box that you can find for 300 bucks


now you need gauges if you dont already have them, and you'll be lookin for a trans/clutch upgrade shortly. Because you WILL want more power
