Installed Quadzilla recon electronic fuel pressure guage on my stock 99. pressure steady 13 to 14 psi at idle or coasting. cruising on fairly level freeway at 65 to 70 MPH steady throttle position, the fuel pressure is constantly changing between 5 to 12 psi. During acceleration from stop fuel pressure does not drop below 8psi.
Is it normal for the pressure to be constantly changing, at cruise, with a steady throttle.
Could the erattic pressure be due to air in the lines? or electrical?

 

It could be a bad conection. What fuel pump do you have, the stock one is just and could produce those exact symptoms. Mine did that stuff, i had a pusher pump with it tho, idle 20psi cruise 15psi but everyso often it would just drop to 5 and hang for a while then come back upand then a few weeks later it dropped to 0 and stayed. Check your gauge conections and then look into getting a new pump soon.

 

My pump is stock but has less than 500 miles on it. I have checked the connectors, all appears fine. I did find a post that Quadzilla had problems with their low pressure senders and think that may be my problem. Have sent them an E-mail am awating reply. Thanks for the input.
