Fluidampr - help w/ clutch growl?

I have a new Valair clutch with the HD Spring Hub
http://www.valairinc.com/performance/dodge.html
I've been very pleased with this clutch so far; it's the Kevlar/Ceramic and very smooth.

However, it does have a very noticeable growl in 4th when below 1500 rpm's.
It's improved slightly since first installed with the clutch being broken in now.

I'm wondering if the Fluidampr will smooth out harmonics enough to get the springs to stop doing the 'mamba'.
I can goose the throttle and slip the clutch slowly going into 4th to prevent the growl but that is gettinga bit old (can be fun sometimes though...)

Thoughts on Fluidampr?
I've read plenty of positive comments, just want some more opinions.

Thanks,
Steve

a fluid damper would smooth out the engines harmonics but the growling is a completely different story a fluid dampr shouldnt make a difference on that noise cause it has nothing to do with the transfer of power from the engine to the ground

I have heard of the dampers helping with the clutch noise. Like 97 said, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense though

I had my Fluidamper before my DD, but my clutch doesn't sound as loud as most that I've heard.

Steve,
I was one of the first to install a Fluidampr on a dual disc truck (if not the first).
I can tell you that before my transmission sounded like it was going to come out from under the truck while lugging it in certain gears (low rpm).
The Fluidampr probably reduced that lugging resonance by about 50%.

For anyone with a dual disc clutch I would advise having the Fluidampr.

Yeah, it works great.

I got mine in my dually with the unsprung southbend. Right around 1750 rpm in 4th, it would vibrate and make a god awful noise. The fluidamper made a big change in it. Didn't eliminate it totally, but big reduction. Actual clutch noise, no difference, but my clutch is only noisy when I have it disengaged.

My experience exactly, minus the dually.

Fluidampr is in... thumbs up.

Installed the Fluidampr yesterday.

I'm VERY pleased with the results.
It was noticeably smoother at idle from first start and while driving.
The growl while shifting into fourth is ~ 80-90% gone - much better.

BTW - did not use the bogus wire extender or even have to cut / extend mine; I was able to re-route and use the stock wiring.

Yeah, that's what I did too. I like it around the side of the cover better than where they had it from the factory.

Glad it went well for you.
