flatbed or repair bed

I dropped my 5th wheel on the bed of my 02 dually. They want $5500 to
repair. I think I could get an aluminum flatbed and install for that price.
Any opinions from anyone who has done the same thing or thoughts on
resale flatbed vs stock bed ?? All ideas appreciated.

Talk to a company that installs custom utility and dump bodies. Often times people bring pickups in and want a dump body put on. They will leave the pickup bed behind and at some point they have to unload some of those pickup bodies. Would be worth a couple phone calls. At the same time, get a price on a flatbed from them....

Just my $0.02

ya might check into the insurance. on my dads rig they charged him 925 bucks every 6 months for full coverage. he went to a flat bed and the same coverage for 6 months went down to 200. and thats why my truck has got a flatbed on it too.
