"Finger Touch" oil drain valve

Was thinking about installing one of these but I want to get some feed back on it before I bought it... Main reason I want it is so I can start taking a nice clean sample for analysis and close it off. I am worried about something somehow tripping the spring loaded lever without my knowing and putting me in a bad situation. Is this thing a bad idea?

fumoto valve is what I have, its lever operated and almost impossible for it to move on its own, you have to work against a spring to allow the lever to unlock. works great, one of the best mods I've done. I ran over a tire which smashed the front of my truck, even dented the oil pan...lever or valve never moved ( it never hit the valve)

here is a link with a pic, I got mine from larryb (starters) it was around 30$ if I remember correctly

I have one and love it. No more leaky plugs or stripped thread risk...

I installed a small hose clamp around the valve body, even though it would be impossible for road debris to open that sucker. Excellent product. I've got mine on my '07 and it eliminated the "deluge or nothing" drain factor.

I got one of those EZ change plugs that you have to screw the hose onto for it to start draining. Works like a charm, has a cap that ensures absolutely no leaks, doesn't hang down as far, and doesn't have a lever that 'might' get hit. I got my first from Geno's Garage, and second right from Cummins.

Ya I have one too, like Hohn says no more worry about the plug and threads going sour on you.
