Fender Flares
I've had Warn 4X flares on my 2500 since new with no problem till some lameass ran into the side of the truck. There was adhesive residue where the 3M tape attached them that came off easily with alcohol but the paint was fine.

I've had Bushwacker Extend-A-Fenders for 2 years.
No paint damage yet, and they don't use 3M tape.
They screw into existing holes in the fender, and have a rubber bushing between them and the side of the truck.

I got bushwackers with the rubber lip and have paint chafeing. Phox-mulder I,d check yours again , when I take mine off you can see the outline in the paint where your flares are. But its one of those things "your dammed if ya do, dammed if ya don't". I think they make the look of the truck ,I dont regret puttin them on.

Sorry I havent gotten the pictures. I have been really busy the past few days. I will not be back until late thursday night and hopefully I will be able to get some pictures by then. If not, I will get them on Friday.
IMO what fender flare you get depends on what size tire you have and how far they stick out. If your tires don't stick out very far then the Xenon's or Bushwacker street flares will do the job and look good. On the other hand if you have tire that stick out 2+ inchs like mine then the Bushwacker extenda fender flares are the only way to go. They provide about 3" of additiona coverage, and look good. IMO one thing that doesn't look good is running extenda fenders and stock tires. I have seen a few guys do this and

Thanks for the extra effort on the pics guys....
I guess I could have been a liitle more clear with my question....my main concern is to not have any paint damage from the rubbing flare. If the flares are installed correctly, will they rub through the paint??
