Just changed my fuel/water seperator on my FASS and cant get it primed, the pump wont pump anything. I had 21 psi before I changed the filter.
Any suggestions?

 

Problem solved. I removed fuel outlet line to purge air and bumped the pump over a few times.

 

In future try this.
Fill filter with diesel. If that does not work... loosen the fuel filter to let air out (has to be on the pressure side... not the Separator). You will hear when the pump primes and if your quick...can screw it in tight before you wash your hands in diesel fuel. This should be easier!

What he said.....the WS is on the suction side of the pump, and the fuel fitler is on the pressure. Leave the fuel filter cracked to bleed air, but be quick when you hear the pump change tone! The WS needs to be tight or it will suck air and you will never prime the pump.
