Fass Install Question

The question: nothing in the directions address the in-tank pump's fuel level sender. Definitely want the fuel level sender active. The directions I have don't refer to an 02 with the in tank pump so I'm wondering if anyone has some experience - I'd like to know what to expect before I take the tank out and start. As I remember from the Glacier directions there is some splicing to do. And since its already there, I'd like to be able in case of a Fass failure to rehook up the in tank pump.

No splicing involved in an '02. All you need to do is install the suction tube kit and just plug in our harness under the hood where the stock lift pump was. That’s it. This disables the in-tank pump and you are good to go. No cutting needed. The in-tank pump is plugging into the same spot our WH-1002 harness will be.

Then if you ever wanted to use the in-tank pump again, all you would need to do it unplug our harness and plug the in-tank pump back up. Then hook up your stock fuel line and you would be set.

The suction tube: is that part # stk-1001? I was planning on Vulcan's draw straw which should amount to the same thing?
And thanks for the quick reply!

Well the fass part goes into the fuel module where as the draw straw goes in the tank. Is the Fass part significantly easier to install or work better?

Well if you have the in-tank pump (like you hinted that you have), you can not make use of the stock module. And yes, its WAY easier to install since you don’t have to drop the tank.

If you have the in-tank pump you have to use the STK-1001 or Draw Straw II
