FASS HPFP or Walbro????
FASS HPFP or Walbro????
I've narrowed down my choices to either the FASS HPFP or the Walbro kit from Glacier, looks like they are within $10 of each other. My questions are which seems to be the better kit? Do they both come with everything needed to install, and which kit is easiest to install??
I don't know about the FASS but I have the Walbro Glacier 392. The 392 had everything needed to to the install. Excellent kit. Instructions are very good also.
I guess it took me about an hour to hour and half to to the install. Can't remember for sure. It's been a couple years since I done mine but i am very pleased with the 392 and the install was pretty easy.

Here is a link for the FASS I was looking at, say's it comes with everything, plus free shipping?

I don't know where you are in SW OH...but we put a Glacier kit with our own filter setup on my buddy's 02 if you are local and would like to see it installed! With a Smarty and Jammer 5's, it won't pull below 15psi anytime. Idle, is around 16-17psi!
I'm super impressed with the service, and quality of the kit Richard @ GDP puts together!

FASS HPFP here, and couldn't be more satisfied.
Idle a 18 psi, cruise at 17 and never below 16. If this one ever goes bad, another new one will take it's place. Also, the install is pretty straight forward.

I'll put in another vote for the Walbro 392 from GDP. Great service, instructions, no problems at all. I'm loving the ~19 idle and 13-14 WOT.
Filter changes are a piece of cake now, no more bumping the starter several times to fill the bowl. One bump and it's at 19psi in under 4 seconds and it fires right up.

Hmmmm, interesting. I've done 5 or more filter changes on my HPFP and never had to bump the starter more than twice. Were you using the HPFP or the full FASS with dual filters?
