I just had a new boost egt guage installed, my old guage measured egt's in Fahrenheit, this one measures in Celsius. What is considered safe range in Celsius? I always tried to stay no higher than 1200 degrees on the other guage. I know zero Celsius is freezing and 32 Fahrenheit is freezing but beyond that I'm lost

 

1200*F = 649*C

Celsius = (Fahrenheit - 32) * 5/9
Fahrenheit = Celsius * 9/5 + 32

G&C, You maynot want to go over 800c I'm not sure but I think it close. Thanks Steve B.

 

800c huh? I was cruising with the 5er today and it pretty much stayed in the 500's but on some steep grades it was in the 600's, nowhere near 800's
