faas with intank lp question
faas with intank lp question
Im getting ready to order a faas fuel system, but im not real sure what all I would need to have the best setup. Im thinking of putting on a set of injectors but not extreme enough for a bigger turbo. So should I get there 95gph or the 150gph and should I upgrade to 1/2in lines? Back to the intank lp should I remove it and replace it with a draw straw from Vulcan or leave it and run the draw straw II or should I use the lp and the faas also faas has a port on the pump for your fuel pressure gauge but I think I would rather have it up next to the Ip. Any comment would be greatly appreciated.
Either find your stock sending unit or use the DS-II or our STK-1001. The FASS will not work with the intank pump. As for what kit you need:
FASS 150/95-1008 (Large filters and unit. Can cross filters pretty much anywhere)
OR
FASS 95/95-1008 (Smaller filters and Frame. Filters need to be bought through your FASS dealer)
.....otherwise both the same.....you can get about 40-60,000 miles out of the filters on both.......

Is the 150/95-1008 kit Biodiesel safe? I just ordered my kit today from Vulcan Performance, and they upgraded all the hoses and fittings to accomidate the Bio, but I was wandering if the seals yall run or going to hold up? Im not running Bio yet but my plans are to start in the near future.

Our seals have a low to moderate reactivity with bio (A 2 out of a 1-4 scale). SO they will work well. All of the o-rings are static sealing, so they last a long time.
I know of some running Bio (B50-B100) in our pumps for over a year now with no issues at all.
We are looking into an all Viton option for our O-rings and Shaft seal. BUT that is going to be down the road and prob not offered on all kits because of the HUGE price increase. (I want to say about 2-4 times the cost of the regular seals and o-rings!)
BUT as it stands right now, our kits work well with Bio from what we have seen.
