Nah. My comp has a plug on the back of it where the harness plugs into. Your harness is built into your EZ. Have you checked your fuel filter lately?

Not quite time for a filter change. It still idles at 17 and 14 at WOT. Same numbers since the last filter change.

It might be worth checking into though. Try and figure out the simple things first.

Have fun in Idabel Blue. Should take the four wheeler up to Broken Bow sometime, it is a blast. Since you need a $25 permit to get on a lot of the land, now is a bad time. The permit would expire on Dec 31st, then you have to get one for 2006.

i have the same problem with the surge and all the timing changes when it is cold...well it surges when hot sometimes also. i un plugged the ez and it quit. mine also lopes a little when i let off the cluch with the ez on. i just ignore it now. I have 18 psi fuel at idle and 14 at wot. so i figured everything was fine. just a note i can only get 26 psi with the ez off, and it will set it on the 35 mark when on. to add to previous discussion

I have tried everything thinkable to try and see if I can make this surge or stutter go away when it's cold outside. Changed fuel filters, IAT sensor, Map sensor, played with the different fueling sttings on the EZ, pulled DD2's and put stock injectors back in, even changed the lift pump to see what happens and it only goes away when the EZ is off.

I know of a few local trucks here that have the same problem and they have done just about everything imaginable to fix it. The only cure, so far anyways, has been to turn the EZ off. They all have switchable EZ's and they all surge/stutter.

For those thinking about it, these trucks also did the surge/stutter when the EZ was factory stock, before they were made switchable.

At least I'm not alone.
If mine was doing it before the RV 275's, it was so slight that I couldn't feel it.

Homestead, thanks for the info.

Since I'll be installing the swith, could you pass on a little info on where you got the switch, what gage wire, did you solder, etc?

Thanks,

You can get the switch at radio shack. Just ask them for a double poll, double throw switch. You can use connectors if you want. Wire gauge, I prefer 4 gauge but you can use anything between 14-16gauge and it should work just fine.

In case anyone was wondering what a double pole/double throw switch was:
