Talking ez help

Ok so I got a used edge ez from superdave on this and other bourds and I am trying to install. And found that the data link connecter is not the triangle plug that came on the box . On my truck it is a flat plug( I think) that has a blank pluged into it. My question is do I have to get an addapter or do I have to cut a solder a flat plug on?
Any help would be great,I want to smoke my stroken buddy!!!

And off topic I dont know how to add all my trucks info on the bottem like everyone else. Dam dumb carpenter!!!!

Cafeful with the "rigging", they sell one (I think Genos Garage or DPP).
Cheap when compared to replacing the box.

Careful is right.
Only EZ's I know that an adaptor works for is switching from a 2001 to a 2002...or vice versa.

Earlier trucks are a whole different electronic program.

To add bottom lines..."usercp" in header...."profile"...."signature"!

PS: I'm confused. See you have a 2000 CTD. Data Link you describe is like mine...flat, 3 pronged, I think, with dust cover on it. The triangular plug you mention sounds like the MAP plug??
You need to know what yr the box was built for...call EDGE with serial #, if don't know. They can tell you if adaptors exist for your truck, also.
