Big Blue,
What does "If I were you, I'd just do the injectors" mean? Are you suggesting I should remove the EZ, then add the 275s, or do mean use both the EZ and 275 injectors?

If you've already got the EZ on there, then do the injectors. But if you were still debating the EZ and injectors, I would do just the injectors. The HO's respond VERY well to a set of injectors. Plus, with just the injectors, you wouldn't really have to worry about your clutch as much as you would with 275's and an EZ. I also don't think EGT's would be a big problem.

Here's another alternative for those already running HO's with EZ's and are concerned about the timing and clutch issue;
The EZ is supposed to add 65 hp to the engine, and does not tear up the factory clutch at this hp rating.
Put in 65 hp EDM injectors, and unplug the can bus connection on the EZ, but leave the boost elbow and Map connected. This leaves the EZ as a boost fooler, but removes the timing advance.
Now you have a clutch-safe 65 hp (and torque) increase, with a boost fooler to let the turbo pump more air into the engine while towing with the bigger injectors.

I've got the $500/ Blue chip box, It is an APB Box w/ adjustable power settings and it doesn't do anything w/ timing. It works well as a fueling box but the post before me has a lot of weight, HO's respond better to injectors. If I had an HO, I would get a set of EDM's , you will love the power and you don't have to pierce the pump wire.

So if I use the ez as just a boost fooler and say 100 horse injecters I'll be fine? What if I get the need for speed and plug the ez in, then what?
Does anybody have 50-100 horse injecters ,and ez ,in a Ho and tow? have you had trouble, how many miles? like I said I tow between 12 and 20 k pounds at least 75% of the time and I put miles on fast and I need my engine to last 300k miles

Well you can look at my sig. I traded my ez for the Drag comp but, with the EDM 2's Drag comp set on 1X5 and the Altitude it was still alittle warm with EGT's empty so I upgraded the turbo too.Alittle warm for me was 1000 to 1200 EGT's at cruise (65 to 75). Rip told me I'd pry be better off with the mach 1.5's instead but what fun is that . So if your towing at altitude you might consider the 1.5's IMO. And if you really want to know call Rip or Bob Wagner and ask them they can tell ya for sure. I have to wait till June before I can hook up to the 5th wheel and boat then I'll know for sure what egts will do going over Wolf creek pass or Eisenhower tunnel. Sorry I can't give you anymore info then that.

I have been reading verious websites on diesel performance and or diesel related issues for five years. Edge products has been around for three to four of those years. This is the first time I have ever heard of anyone having trouble with timing issues from a Edge product. A lot of people have speculated about the timing issue but no one has had problems due to timing. Even in this case it can not be point blank. I think if people were having timing problems from the Edge products we would be hearing from alot more people, especially in time of internet. In the 24 valved engines the timing is retarded compared to the 12 valve and the only reason Cummins done that was to meet emission regulation set for that date. If anything the timing boxes brings the timing closer to the 12 valve.
