Question exhuast/intake

Am considering exhaust and intake upgrades for my truck. Are they worth the effort/cost if so any recommendations --I seem to like AEM Brute Force and Magna Flow 4"???

I have the AFE and a 4" Flowmaster kit. Easy to install and I LOVE the sound. Relatively cheap at about 350ish.

First off, WELCOME aboard. I own a 1st gen (1992) so I do not have those products. BUT, I have upgraded my intake and exhaust and they did make a difference. With these motors, the more fuel and air you can get into them, the better they seem to run. But, you also need to get that stuff out. So, going with a better intake and exhaust would be highly recommended. You won't be sorry as they do make the sound much nicer and it will keep your EGT's down a little which helps.

BOMB on.

Thanks - Was reading on the exhausts...should I look at Stainless because of winter conditions (use the truck to plow too) if so which brands stick out?

Not sure about SS pipes. I am sure they would be worth it but I haven't use them for my truck. Ran a 3.5 exhaust (1st upgrade 6 years ago) with a Dynomax muffler and have plowed with it. Finally started getting bad this past summer. So I have since increased to a 4" (mostly due to power increases) and went with Rip Rook's complete system. Sounds good, looks super. We shall see if it lasts as long as my old system. I just couldn't cost justify going to a SS pipe. But maybe next time around I will have a need to go to a SS pipe and hopefully a 5" system. (Twins would look sooooo nice under that hood.. LOL). I figure, if you can afford a SS system, why not go with one.
