Exhaust turbine problems
I just put a banks exhaust housing on my turbo, but now it won't build any boost. It sounds awful, so I took it apart after about 2 min of driving to find that the turbine wheels are wearing on the new housing. There is 1/16" of play in the turbine shaft, give or take, is this the issue? It won't build any boost. 0 PSI. Do I just need to drive it until the blades wear and stop rubbing in the housing? Or do I need new bearings and a new shaft?

If you can move the shaft 1/16" in any direction, its time for a rebuild, or just a new turbo all together. Your wheels and housings should never come in contact, let alone wear in.

I agree with Tate. The wheels should not contact the housings. They will have a little play in them because when running the wheels/shaft run on a thing layer of oil. If your wheel is rubbing on the housing and you run it to wear it down you could throw the turbine out of balance. Guess you could have a bent shaft, worn bearings or worn housing or as I have seen back when I was rebuilding some idiot that built the thing put in the wrong bearings.
