Exhaust Stacks

I recently saw and heard ;D my first Ram with exhaust stacks. Woahhh, man did it sound terrific!

I'd like to get some info on Stack conversion and associated costs ...dealers and the like.

Anyone have pics they would like to post of their rigs with stacks? Any trouble from the local authorities?

Re:Exhaust Stacks

I built my set up myself.
can't get my pic to work here but you can see it at www.kydtr.com
Look under the same screen name.

If you build a set make sure you make them self draining like I did.
No slobbering that way.
If you want to see a pic of the setup in the bed pm me and I'll see if I can get someone else to take a pic.
Camara probs. :'(

Re:Exhaust Stacks

Probably getting ready to start ordering some stuff to make another stack setup! ;D I'm going to have to make it where I can easily change to a 4" downpipe though cause I'm planning on a HX40 hopefully a few months down the road.

Re:Exhaust Stacks

Thanks Mark !

Thats the pics I was talkin about.
The shot of the setup inside the bed was taken at dusk so it's a little dark.
I have also made a plate to cover it up out of diamond plate but haven't put it on yet.
After things slow down in the tobacco fields I'll make one to cover up the bottom portion.

Re:Exhaust Stacks

I bought my splitter from www.berubes.com. I want to say somewhere in the $50 range.

Re:Exhaust Stacks

www.berubes.com was a little cheaper than mine but it also had a lot tighter turn.
I wanted a better flow in case my horses grow a little more. :

Re:Exhaust Stacks

Eddie,

Nice job. They look great.

Do you have a parts list or a run down of just what all you did to outfit your truck with the stacks?

Re:Exhaust Stacks

Hi guys,

Check under the tech topics part of this site and I noticed someone posted my stack setup instructions ( without me knowing however) so its all there, measures and diagrams on how to do it in step by step form, If you need more info you can visit http://www.hotroddiesel.ca/stackdiagram.htm for pics and the orginal step by step guide. I am not trying to sell anything here, just if you want to make this job a little easier, I am offering the help.

Thanks

Re:Exhaust Stacks

Rampuller, Thanks this will help me out a lot. Not too may Rammers have stacks out our way here in Maryland. Maybe I'll start something?? :

I haven't heard anyone give any feedback regarding how the local authorities react to stacks. Has anyone had any problems?

Bull Dog,

Take a look at my stacks I just built in the member photos. They are on page 42, and under the name Fahlguys 01 24v 6" stacks.

Pretty good prices on 2nd's
