Exhaust size...?

Exhaust size...?
Just a lil quicky, I am cutting the resonator and Muffler out tomorrow ( actually muffler shop is doing it) and I was just curious as to what size pipe I will need, 3'' isnt it? just to fill in that lovely little space? Straight pipe here I come?
