Exhaust Pyrometer temp location???????

does it matter if the pyro sensor is before the turbo or after?? i am going to be installing my banks power pack kit soon. and it says to install before the turbo in the exhaust manifold. but i have a pac-brake on my truck which already has a threaded port in it.

is there any difference in what the readins will be or which would be more acurate???

thanks

I would deffinently put it pre turbo, post turbo is not very acurate, and temperature differences can range greatly. Here is a good link to pyro installation.

i second that, definatly go before the turbo. with the pyro after the turbo, if you get it too hot the damage will probably be already done before your gauge tells you.
