Exhaust manifold and turbo coating
Exhaust manifold and turbo coating
I have done a little reaserch on this and have ceramic metalic coated parts from the previous owner. Who else has it done, on what part, and did you notice a diffrence? I was considering coating BD towing twins if I get them, good or bad idea?
It can't hurt. I have seen people do them many times in gas applications. And only one in a diesel application. But hey i am fairly new to the diesel scene.
It helps keep the under hood temps down and it also get heat out really well. And actually drops temps.
Here is a good page to do some reading on.

Ive been looking into http://www.hpcoatings.com/am/product...hipercoat.aspx
With no heat shield on my BHAF, the ceramic coating on the turbo and exhaust manifold make a diffrence, keeping under hood temps in check and the egt needle drops right back down when I let off @ 900 degrees. I know it can take more, but I plan on having the truck for awhile and the coating is starting to flake and rust... time to get recoated?
