exhaust
exhaust
ok so about a month ago i straight piped the dodge. it had the stock exhaust and i got a coupler and ran a 4 inch pipe from it. i took out the muffler and the "other thing" we cannot say on here. well my buddy has a 99 f 250 straight piped no muffler no "other thing" and his passed inspection. well my buddy 2 doors down takes my truck in to do inspections and whatever i need well we were talking the otherday and he said the "other thing" has to go back on to pass. is this true? some ppl i know are running without and have passed also. im just trying to get a little more info to see if i have to put the "other thing" back on before inspection.
The "other thing" is Resonator? I don't see how it missing would affect the exhaust quality.
If the "other thing" is the Cat Con, I think it isn't part of the stock diesel exhaust in the first place. Not on a 97 anyway, 2007 I think is the first year it was introduced.
