Ever lost boost with a cam ???

A guy I know put one in and he likes it but lost 10lbs of boost is that right ??

I haven't heard of drops that big, but I have heard you do drop boost. You are reducing the restriction in the flow path, so boost isn't as high to flow the same amount of air.

hmmm. the 06 in my sig was making 60 psi
now its making 55 psi, might be cuz of that. still dont know though, why its only making so little?

you would think boost would go up due to the extra air going into the motor my boost stayed the same with my monster cam

Good testament to a better flowing cam.
Pressure and flow are mostly opposites or an inverse relationship. Higher pressure is lower flow and visa-versa.

As expected my boost dropped 7-10 lbs when swapping cams.
