Energy Control Arm Bushings...
Energy Control Arm Bushings...
....anybody tried them yet?
I would like to swap the bushings out or possibly replace the control arms to tighten up the front end.
I also need to replace the sway bar bushings which are deteriorated and no more that an 1/8" thick.

Greta place for ALL kinds of busging kits.
Specifically: http://www.suspension.com/dodge-pu.htm
I have ordered from them before - good prices, very helpful, and FAST shippers
Personally, I am not a big fan of poly bushings, mainly because most of the ones on the market are too hard for my tastes...

Yes poly bushings are quite a bit more rigid than the rubber ones, a friend of mine just installed some poly ones in his car for motor mounts.
If you're happy so I am....
Poly bushings are also known to squeak and have a real messy / nasty tree sap like grease, however through all of that I'd think they'd be worth it for suspension as they last practically forever.

Are you talking about the control arm bushings at the frame? I'd stick with rubber. The frame can develop stress cracks around those holes if the truck is abused without the protective cushioning of the OEM rubber bushings at that location. That said, I don't think the poly would be hard enough to crack the frame. It's more of a concern with Heim- jointed control arms.
In all other locations, I wouldn't hesitate to convert to poly.
I've had good results with the polygraphite bushings, but I think they're only available for muscle cars and "classics".
