Chuck, I must agree that both probably build a top-notch product, and somebody will get a substantial chunk of my hard-earned $$$ when it's time for my upgrade.<br>It's the back and forth BS part that seems less than professional to me. :-[

I merely tried to understand what appeared to me to be completely rediculous behavior. It was never my intent to harass Mr kondolay i just thought he was acting very silly when he wanted to be paid to show up to his own challenge.

He started this whole fracus about the emjay controller simply because he got angry over ATS getting it. He can talk all day long that it was not the reason but his actions have proven other wise. Then when we tried to find out what the deal was on this phony challenge he got mad and said he had enough. Well he has been spreading it around for two weeks, somebody called him on it and now he wants out.

He felt the need to change the rules of the challenge to suit himself not in a way that would be fair for both parties. Whats left? only one thing now there will not be a test and that was also part of the plan all along.

All I see is discredit the other guy coming from the DTT camp. So much so I gave up my idea to buy from them. All this childish behavior is a terrible thing for the industry as a whole and sadly we all learned today that the one who hollers the loudest about the other guy, is usually the one to look out for.

Thank you Joel for clearing all this up for us, it answers every question that was left slinging around, and has proven once and for all where the bull calls home.

Even us Moderators get tired of all the lies and BS that is spread around by these people.

We were having a technical discussion whether a certain part belongs or doesn't belong to the governor pressure circuit. <br>The opinion I stated is that the Emjay is tapping into the circuit.<br>Edward stated the contrary. We have nice discussions, good training for my english, and some fun.<br><br>About dogs on carpet etc. Next DC dealer who could do warranty work is across the ATLANTIC OCEAN. Just having a free TSB done on my truck would set me back about 5 000 US$ in transport fees only. So there is absolutely no concern on DC warranty issues for me over here. Ditto for any DTT warranty. Closest installer across the pond. <br><br>Well I suppose that I do think, and actually read the posts I want to reply to, then re-think their words and my words before posting them. <br><br>Top- I do understand that you are getting angry about this stuff. In Special Forces we have a motto &quot;De Oppresso Liber&quot; Liberators of the oppressed in simpler terms.<br><br> I personally made an offer to Bill Kondolay and his son to write up an article here showing some of his work. I think the man has proven over the years he can build an extraordinary transmission. The reason I made this offer is because all the pom pom cheerleaders were accusing DTR of being biased to one manufacturer. <br><br> This is completely untrue, I personally have been attempting to contact various manufacturers on their products so we can give the reader some information on what is out there. Why DTT turned down my offer to me now is glaringly obvious. A fair exchange of info takes away the &quot;We are treated so unfair&quot; image and also takes away the pom pom leaders. I have told many of them here the truth and they immediately apoligize for thinking DTR had it in for DTT.<br><br> We do not care about the politics, frankly it makes me ill to see a man who built such a fine reputation building transmissions, throw away his credibility just because he hates a competitor so much. He lost my business and many others have said the same thing.<br><br> The beginning of the end started the day A man decided to bash a new product the moment he found out his hated competition was testing it with the idea of marketing it in the future. He did not have to do this, he tried to explain it away as though he was concerned for his customers. If this had in fact been the case he only had to state that he did not know if the product would damage the transmission or not as he had not yet tested one. <br><br> Instead it lead to a 2 week bashing spree culminating in lies and innuendo and eventually a &quot;challenge&quot; that this mystical problem that it created was provable by him to the tune of $10,000 dollars. Then to prove his point he uses another box entirely to &quot;supposedly&quot; lock up his son's truck. This proves That box can do it, but still has no bearing whatsoever on the &quot;Product&quot; he chose to bash.<br><br> Did this test really happen is it just more spin doctoring trying to help unpaint himself from the corner he has himself in. The answer to that became apparent to all today when his challenge was answered leaving him no alternative but to attempt to alter and control the terms of the supposed challenge. He even went so far as to claim he should be paid to show up to HIS own challenge.<br><br> The slow agonizing destruction of ones own character is a horrible thing to witness, even worse when the individual is bent on doing it in a public fashion. I decided to take this step because I think that maybe my questions and active participation in the discussion may have contributed to heating this up beyond boiling.<br><br>I have seen hurt feelings, aggression, resignation and lots of grief coming from these tranny wars. <br>I do not see the trannies themselves as the culprits. It's the fanaticism by users and vendors that brought a whole industry into this situation.<br>Some people seem to consider transmissions with religious fervors. <br>I suggest that all of the individuals involved should read the American constitution. There are some interesting parts about freedom of creed. <br>If the bickering stops and we can get back to discussing the technical side of these things it will be to the best of all.<br><br>The only thing I do like about this &quot;bet&quot; or challenge now is that there is a good chance that a nice amount of cash could become available to charity.<br><br>Jack, Top: I do think that this website here has brought me, and many others a lot of useful informations, and I want to thank all the people over here for sharing the infos that make our RAMs better each day. <br><br>AlpineRAM

 

Hey guys. Good morning <br><br>While I appreciate all the opinions that have been brought up so far, I think it's time we get back to the subject at hand, and that is the emjay and bindup. I hope this competition does happen because it will show proof one way or the other, and it will educate everyone involved while providing funds for a good cause. You can't get more positive than that. However it needs to be done, I say move forward guys and agree on a set of rules, then get back with us and let us know when the event will occur and when. That sound good to you guys? <br><br>PS - Thanks for the support Top, you're a good friend and that's what this is all about. It's about having fun too. That's why the site was started. But at this point I am getting confused at who said what. I do look forward to seeing if any additional tech. information comes from this debate.
