I think you have WAY to much FUEL for that Small of a Turbo.. You probly need at least a B-1 series or.. maybe Twins..If you bought that turbo from City Diesel
did you tell them about all the fuel your running with?..

Suposed to support 350-450 hp. And with out the pump wire hooked
up it would fall in that catagory.

I believe my KSB1-2 moves more air than the Dodgezilla and it is limited to about 400 hp. I can hit 1500* on sustained WOT up a 5% grade (empty). I love it for daily driving but anything beyond a 1/4 mile at WOT...it gets hot real quick.
IMO, 350-450 hp is a lot of range for one turbo to handle well from spoolup to uphill WOT.

Give this test a try ... steep long grade where you can load it ... sustain 30psi & see what your EGT is.

Mine is @ 1150 degrees with the PDR40.

You got me curious...so I went out and tried it on 5%, 4 mile hill on the interstate (best we have around here). Got 1025* holding 30 psi...and the same temp on three different settings of my PM3...which I guess makes sense? Having trouble wrapping my mind around the implications of that!
What does this test tell me??

Maybe I am geared low but with 4:10s and 35" tires, unloaded, there is no way I can hold it sustained for more than 5-10 secs before I am topped out and defueling going fast enough to get a trip to the local cop shop probably lol. Now at that point I can see 1600 but rarely do that more than once a day for a couple seconds. I think first I am going to install a water/meth kit and then go for the KSB1 which seems like would be a pretty nice setup for a street racer.

Sounds like thats pretty cool to me. Just a comparison test . fyi ... I ran mine @ 6000' elevation.

Interesting comparison between the 2 turbos @ the same boost. It's an apples & oranges thing as far as the turbos. I don't know the size of your exhaust housing.

Is sounding like Olratlr is running way hotter than us.

I have an EX4 housing...4' turbo exhaust flange (V-clamps) right onto 4" exhaust.
I tried this test because I was also interested how my B-1 #'s compared with your PDR40. Different Generation trucks AND different altitudes probably makes the comparison less than meaningful!
I too had to back out of test after 30 sec +/- at about 110 mph.

Still, it's a interesting way to compare turbos, given no other variables.
