EGT Temps

I was wondering, how much will a 4inch exhaust lower the EGTs? I can hit 1100F with no load. Thats stabbing the throttle pretty good, and Edge J/A is on 3x2. Seems high without a load, haven't had this J/a long enough to know whats high and low.

For short bursts, high egt's aren't all that bad. I've pegged my pyro many times with no ill effects. Its sustanined temps you need to worry about.

1100 is no big deal, you could probably keep it at 1100 with a load for a while with no issues. When towing I back off at 1150-1200. A 4" exhaust will help a bit but not very much.

maybe 50*. 3" is good for 400 hp but 4" sounds cooler

True.. a 4" system does help but not as much as upgrading the turbo. For your power level the stock system isn't bad.

5" dropped my EGTs close to 200*. I tow and wanted to drop EGTs as much as possible thus the reason for 5" exhaust.

Cool, I just wanted to make sure I was running about normal. Now the only thing I can't decide on is Out the Rear or do I want Stacks? Anyone with advice?

Don't do stacks if you tow, very loud and covers everything with soot
