edge jammer stage 3 nozzels are in....

well i finally got them and got them installed....wow! talk about some power! its amazing how well it runs now...although my 30lbs boost gauge is always bottoming out.....and it smokes a ton! the smoke is kinda cool, but i think im finding its going to be kinda annoying cause its hard to drive without it just pouring it out. i am deffinatly happy with the power increase though, ready to hook it onto a trailer and see how it does..

thats strange...on mine i have to really TRY to get it not to just pour it out...its just a trail of solid black all the time....it might be since urs is auto...when i cahnge gears and it lugs a bit before the boost comes up its flowing out good..

even if i let my boost build up i change gears and it lugs for a second before it will build back up....that was a problem i was going through towing is i could rev it real high then shift, but it would lug down for a second after changing gears and loose all its power to speed up...i was thinking maybe a boost leak...but i was told if it was leaking it wouldnt build up as high as it does...

i doubt that is a boost leak.. i think the ez does mostly fueling..without the added timing it will take the engine that seconds to build the boost back up..i know the EZ does add timing just not as much as the edge juice or comp. when my truck would kick down in passing gear it would do the samething..nothing to worry about, you could possibly think about get a smarty to do alot of towing

i have been thinking about that....i have thought about tradin in the ez for a comp possibly also??? not sure what the best way to go would be.....towing is my main concern with it..and im needin some more bottom end power, or boost or whatever, but i need something more on the bottom i know that..

I've got the jammer 5's with only the banks box which is fueling only, no timing. I have to shift early and lug it a little to get smoke, and even then, it's not a lot unless the pedal is to the floor. Make sure you've got plenty of air (k&n or BHAF). Did you have the nozzles set up by a diesel shop before installing them?

Elevation is a big factor in turbo lag and boost numbers. I can black out city blocks if i'm not careful.

Most smoke comes from timing, atlesat on 24v, the deep DARK smoke is fuel, and it takes ALOT of it with no other power adding boxes to smoke

You can change the internal setting of the EZ to not fuel so hard pre boost. It does sound to me like a boost leak. It can have a good enough leak to cause it to be lazy, but still make full boost when it does build. The 100 horse sticks do not smoke bad under normal driving.
