Edge J/A "weak"

I have a J/A with the wire tapped. Went on a long trip this weekend, mostly towing 8-10,000 lbs. Had it on level 2 most of the time. Pulled very well. Got home, unhooked, and tried it on level 4 just to see what is was like again. Did not have anything like it used to. Before this trip, on 4 it could put you in your seat. Now it hardly smokes when you punch it. Any thoughts on this? Anything wrong? Also on a long hill, fp would pull down to 6 psi, cruising it would be 8-10. Do I need to start looking for a better lift pump to save my vp44?

Vp ran with that low of pressure regularly tells me Vp probably on its way out. Mine started showing lower EGTs and also long cranks to start before it went.
