That's a great question. I bought mine used and it came with no directions :

 

Hello<br>If you are talking about the elbow that goes on the turbo. It replaces the one that is on the turbo. On my 01 ETH and on my wives 99. I used a small screw driver and worked the clamp loose alittle and slid the hose going to the waste gate off and unscrewed the elbow and put in the new one that comes with the EZ. I did not put mine in for about 3 or 4 months and then while standing around shooting the bull and one of our get togethers one of the diesel heads noticed that I didn't have it in. I was going with what the instructions said that the truck would perform the same with or without (or something like that anyways) I put the elbow in and noticed a big difference pulling the camper back home. What they told me is I was dumping free HP out the wastegate.<br>Sorry so long. Mine is an 01 with an auto. The 01 autos cant use the elbow because of the hardline to the wastegate. Edge was going to have a different setup for the autos dont know if they came out with it or not. You can use a turnbuckle &amp; spring instead of the elbow. But since you have an 03 not sure whether the elbow will work or even the turnbuckle not familiar with them.
