Is there a way to permanately turn off / change the back light feature on the Edge Attitude?

I didn't see anything in the instructions. Everytime I turn it on, its on the brightest setting. If I hit the "enter" button, the lighting option changes, but the next time I start the truck, its back on the brightest setting. Would have been nice if Edge had it tied into the dimmer switch.

 

I was gonna say hit the enter button, but I guess you already know about it.

??? Send it to them and see if they will take the light out?

 

Its just that I typically drive in the daylight hours, so I see no point in having it lit up all the time.

 

I forgot to mention that I did send an email to Edge Tech Support asking about this - I was just curious if anyone here knew how to do it?

 

Anybody - still haven't heard back from Edge's Tech Support.....

 

With my experience with them, I'm not surprised. I've email them on several occations and never got one answered. I like the product but the support has a lot to be desired.

Unfortunately, its either on—dim----or bright, there is no other option for the backlight.
