I purchased the ebay headlights for my 98. I got the 94+ ones projector. They shipped and then I recieved them the next day.

I put them in, no wiring yet for the little lights, just plug em in....Everything smooth. The high beam light on the dash stays on though....any input on that?

As for the lights.....THEY ROCK, I still need to adjust them, but they are unbelievable compared to the oem headlights. I think they are dimmer when the hi's are on....and I have to wire the small lights and figure out why the hi beam indicator is on either way, hi or low.

But the lights are incredible, I think its the first time I ve ever seen anything after the sun set. think maybe the relay mod and its done....just incredible compared to the bic lighter oem setup.

 

cut the ground wire on the harness and ground it to the chassis. (the bulb side one) that will get rid of the high beam on indicator and your high beams will be a ton brighter also.

 

Don't cut the wires!!!!
All you need to do is change the highbeam and ground wires in the plug on the head light. You have the two wires together(that is the ground) and then you need to check with a meter to find out which wire is for highbeam. On the plug on the truck side I beleave the high beam is in the center. This is the exact problem I had with my lights from ebay.

 

Did you get the option racing ones? I put mine in last week and was disappointed with the light pattern but after a few nights of tweaking the adjustment I finally have bright lights. I already had the hi/low conversion for the old headlights and so that's just icing on the cake.
