Anybody tried one of the $99 ebay fuel plate and boost fittings? Ad says that the fuel plate is CNC cut, not sure what type of material is used, which could make a difference.

 

I bought one off of Ebay not too long ago. Is the name "machineshopcharlie" or something like that? So far it seems alright. Too bad it makes the tranny slip now.

 

2 different vendors advertising on ebay, machineshopcharlie and also pdiperformance. They don't seem to clear to me what number plate they are selling going by the charts.

 

Some plates that are sold on eBay are absolute POS's. Personally I would not buy an no name plate off eBay.

 

I just ordered a # 10 from him using his toll free # @ $130.00. He makes them out of tool steel, which is hard enough for me.

If thats not hard enough you could always temper the wear surface easily.
On an application like this tempering would work great and its easy to do.
Anyway, after talking to him I'm confident that his product is well made and will serve well.

Buy it then have it case hardened. Thing will be near 60 rockwell (rockwell "c") hard stuff.

 

My #10 plate from machineshopcharlie came today. I ordered it Monday morning. Very well made.
