Where is the best place to place egt probe? Thanks in advance.

 

On the exhaust manifold before the turbo. Not sure if the 12V manifolds are similar to the 24V ones or not, but the on the 24V manifold if you are looking down on it there is a center groove in it where the manifold joins together to bolt to the turbo. Drill on the side of the groove closest to the firewall. Reason for that is there 2 chambers there and if you drill in the center you will drill right in betweent them.
