An easy way to get exhaust sections apart?
What's the easiest way to get exhaust sections, held together and "dimpled" with U bolts, apart without destroying sections or cutting them apart with a sawsall?

The biggest mistake I made when installing my Jardine 4" was using the U bolts instead of stainless band clamps to hold the system together. I'd like to remedy that situation.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yep, once you've crimped the pipe with the guillotine style clamps, your only recourse is the "Blue-Tip-Wrench"

Ed

Did mine with a pneumatic grinder with a cutting disk on it. I put 4 cuts about 3-4 inches long, parallel with the pipe where the clamp used to be. Used a big screwdriver (I know, I know ... right tool for the job) to pry it loose. Worked like a charm.

PISTOL

"Slitting" the pipe will work.
A combination of heat and the slits will make it slide apart fairly easy.
