Dyno run

I'm new to posting on here, usually just read what others have to say..A lot of good info on here.. Went to Dynomite diesel yesterday and ran on dyno. Made 360 hp and 874 ft lbs., I thought I had the hp pretty close, but that's way more torque than I thought. Just have an edge ez, and 75 hp injectors. Does this sound right?

To be honest, I guess I'm not sure, I didn't really ask them a lot of questions. Is there quite a difference in numbers? Should I call them and ask?

thats what my old '02 HO ran with an EZ and DD3's (100hp)...no correction factor for me. with a stock turbo that spools quickly, the torque number really sky rockets!

Cool, thanks. Yeah, I was really surprised to see that much. Guess I should be saving for a clutch. Oh, man! Where to stop? These things are too addicting..

Numbers sound almost too good to be true. 200 stock the ground, that means you picked up 160 HP from a 60HP EZ and 75HP injectors. Your truck made 25 more HP, maybe from the FASS! Just kidding, great numbers though.

Sounds like the advertised hp on the DDP's is a bit low, but thats a good thing

Indeed. With my old setup (EZ and DD2s) I once dynoed a suspicious 390/918.

Later, without the ridiculous cf, I did a 346/~840.

It's best to use uncorrected numbers, imo-- but many shops won't give them out (generally lower is bad for business) or simply don't know how to get the raw data (sad to say!).

Correction factors are used to compensate for air quality. It takes temperature and barometric pressure into account and adds a multiplier to the hp. There are a bunch of different factors for different vehicles, but nothing good for a turbo diesel. Heat and humidity do make a difference, but the correction factors such as SAE and STD commonly used are too generous for our trucks. If its colder than 65 (?) expect a negative factor and if its hotter than 65 (?) it should be a positive factor.

So 500 hp @ 35% humidity, 93 F SAE 1.01 would actually be 495 uncorrected hp. On a dynojet there is a menu to select the correction factor before printing the graph.

A Dynojet will give yo the best ballpark to where your at compared to everyone else, Mustang, Superflow dyno's are load types and the numbers can be skewed as to where on a dyno jet they cannot be. Do you not know if you have injectors in it or not?
