dtt tranny up grade
RJ, it hasn't changed. Both Stefan and James said that the stock intermediate did not need to be replaced and that DTT doesn't sell them for that reason. (at least that is the case on 48REs but I would assume it would apply to 47's as well.

Must trucks are ok with a stock intermediate shaft. Mines a stocker intermediate shaft. I haven't tried 5X5 and smarty on 8 to see the carnage yet. I more worried about the rest of the truck falling apart that that part.
ok, I stand corrected. I broke my billet intermediate shaft on my PDR transmission. It broke at the drum and wiped the thrust bearing. I just got that part of the transmission apart today. A couple beers and BFH, it came apart. I was hoping on reusing it. I have to tell DTT and see if they want to put in a billet shaft into my race tranny. I can take pictures if your guys are interested. It will be interesting to see if the stocker intermediate shaft takes the abuse.
