ncdodgeman:

Sir, if you will P.M. Tim Barber here he will be able to help you. He goes by the User Name "Timinva" and he is also a Banner Advertiser and a fully certified DTT Dealer. His number is: (757) 831-7451. He is a great guy and very good with the transmissions. He has built alot of the Members transmissions here on DTR.

Good luck!

My DTT has performed flawlessly for over 100,000 miles.... incl. Sled pulling, drag racing and working/hauling every day! I know many with DTT's and all are equally happy.
Any tranny is only as good as the installer, and Tim Barber is as good as any DTT has! He will treat you right. You're lucky to be in his area.

Good luck!

i cant speak on the dtt tranmission because mine is a suncoast but i had mine rebuilt and i cant believe the difference!! all the power is put to the ground and with the valve body psi incresed the shifting is so hard its awesome!! spent but 3k on upgrades after labor and parts in my sig..prolly the best upgrade yet!! very costly though but fix it right the first time and you wont have to worry bout it later..

Mine is a 3rd gen....but im extremely pleased so far with my recently built DTT with DTT Triple Disc TC. The power comes on instantly and in direct correlation with engine RPM.

I second JohnP and RowJ's opinion....Call Tim Barber.....since you are not that far from him.

I have a DTT built from TiminVA, no shafts. DTT's full rebuild with a new converter, vb,etc-shafts is supposed to be good for 500hp. I love mine. Tim is the man. Great guy to deal with.

Is this the latest thinking?
DTT has always said a stock intermmediate shaft was all that's needed. Has this changed?
