DTT Converter and Valve Body - Add a billet input?

Well I sold a bunch of stuff really fast and at the same time caught a great deal on a DTT 89% single disk, towing performance valve body, apply lever, billet piston, etc. I wasnt going to go this route but the price was hard to turn down. So I was wondering if I should order a billet input and put that in while the transmission is out. I wont be locking shifts or pulling anytime soon, but I think it might be a good time to do it while the transmission is out. I see guys like cumminsdriver635 snapping inputs, and he's probably putting the same amount of country boy abuse through his trans as I am. Billet input to me means settling the score with a few local Duramax and Powerpukes It also means boosted launches to help settle these scores.

On the other hand I could save the money and put it towards some 370's, piping for my twins, O-rings, Dart heads for the camaro to get into the 11's, etc.

So if it were you what route would you go? Would you wait for a total rebuild? Do bosch 370 injectors and 4GSK?

Let's hear it.

Think for one minute here......

Save money on the input shaft and intermediate shaft........~$1300....

Now take that money and put it towards your twins....

You are now making way too much power for the stock input and intermediate shafts and you are going to break them.

Now you have twins and a grenaded trans that has to be rebuilt again at a higher cost....

Put the money in your trans and do it right the first time.....

You know my opinion on the matter

I guess my way of thinking is what good is all kinds of power if you cant get it on the ground...

Not doing locked shift is a lot easier on the shafts, but its well worth buying the billet just so you can do some mean launches

I started a thread either on here or competitiondiesel.com about if i needed a billet intermediate or not. There were guys running like 11.4's on the stock intermediate, so i decided to skip that when i build mine. The output should be weaker than the intermediate. Ill use it as a fuse

I got a question. Billet inputs, intermediate, and output shafts are good until broken... correct? Meaning i could rebuild my tranny with the same billet shafts 100 times as long as they weren't destroyed in the last trans. If so that really seems like the way to go. Little more money for a huge peace of mind.
