Dmi Bumper

The neighbor has a DMI bumper off a 00 dodge, will it fit on my 92?

I really doubt it since it's 2 very different body styles. The 94+ is rounded and your 92 is almost flat. Why not hold it up and see? It's only 3 bolts on each side for the 94+.

Joe, it a rear mumper. DMI doesn't make front bumpers.

The bumper would be the same, but you will most likely need a different mounting kit. The kit is ~$1-150, I think.

I have a Schuck hitch. It has a drawbar and it cushions MUCH better than any DMI or DMI type hitch that I've used.

I have the Model 750-RT-R. Still maintain the option of the receiver hitch, and don't loose the spare under the truck.

We run both the Schuck and DMI cushion hitches on our farm pulling 20,000lb + self-unloading forage boxes, and I would say they cushion shock loads pretty evenly. The DMI will carry a lot more tongue weight than the Schuck though, and I think it is built heavier, in my opinion.

Oh! Now I see. Sorry about that, I almost forgot these trucks are also used for real activities like farming. It's been awhile since I've read a Hoard's Dairyman or a High Plains Journal.

As far as heavy loads go, I would agree pretty much. Schuck still seems a little better. It is the lighter loads where the Schuck really shines.

Schucks 700 series is rated for 1000# tongue and 40k load. 800 series is rated for 2k/50k. They are comparable yo the DMI hitches.

Seen that done before.

DMI does make a cushioned receiver hitch that works similar to their drawbar type hitches.
