dipstick

i broke my "T" handle on my dipstick today , any body have any cheap fixes (it`s plastic) :-[ :-[

Only problem is it's a Dealer only part.<br><br>Cummins told me I can get anything engine related from them &quot;except&quot; the oil dipstick and the fan belt.<br><br>Expect to pay 4-5 times fair market value.<br><br>I'd just get some good old fashioned super glue, clean both sides well, and voila'<br><br><br>phox

I found a dip stick in a wrecking yard,all i have to do is braze the oem dip stick on the other one to the proper length and i`m in business. (I don`t know what it came out of) here`s how I broke it, I was on top of the engine doing some work in the lift pump area .I must have put some pressure on the T handle.....CRACK ??? there it went.

make sure that when you braze the new stick on to the other end that the full mark remains at just i/8 above the case and pan rail.<br>ghostech
