Thanks Mark.. The LED is hooked up... had a bad connection on it the first time (pin in the 4-prong connector wasn't making contact) and could barely see ANYTHING on the gauge with just that light. With the LED, it's much better, but NOT what I'd expect.

Dufrain's explanation makes sense. Thus, my search begins for a brighter bulb... Funny that the boost gauge has 2 bulbs, the tranny temp only has one, but the tranny temp is the best lit of the bunch... (Going from memory, maybe it's the other way around)... I'm sure it's because of things inside the gauge blocking the light, it was just slightly humorous.

Since we're on the topic of gauges, IS there a place to find brighter bulbs, or blue bulbs that are brighter?

I put blue bulbs in mine (to match my silver faced dash) and they weren't bright enough to see the numbers, just barely bright enough to see the needles. I bought blue covers ond its better, but still not like it was when they had the green covers on them.

Is it just the difference in the colors, since you're eye is more receptive of green colors?

I don't think LED's would work well with the Autometer's, just by the way the lighting comes around the ring of the gauge . May have to try them though.

Thanks Guys,
Chris

I have isspro EGT, Boost & FP gauges black face with green lighting to match stock with silver trim rings. Only complaint I have is that I really don't like the fact that I have diesel in the cab I wish they made a sending unit for it. I'm looking into making a sending unit for it. Other than that I don't have any problems (knocking on wood as I type )
