DiPricol Gauges...

Hello everyone,
Been looking around for some gauges to put in my truck due to the fact I don't have any. I have been searching around and found some nice gauges on Diesel Truck Performance Parts & Accessories. I am looking at the DiPricol Gauges...60Lbs Boost(once i start putting money into my truck i figure I will need this) and a 30PSI Fuel Pressure Gauge. Being as my truck is pretty much stock I am not worried about my tranny temp or EGT's just yet(soon though). But anyways...The boost gauge comes with the t-fitting, hose, and connectors...the FP gauge doesn't come with anything(no biggy, ill order the parts) but what i am wondering. Is do I need the "DiPricol EGT Pyrometer and Boost or Fuel Pressure Gauge Wiring Harness " to run the LED's on my gauges? or is this only for dimmer control?

Thanks A lot

Anyone

I just don't want to spend the extra $60 or not spend it, and it turns out i didnt, or did need it. And I was also wondering, will the DiPricol Gauges fit in an AutoMeter Pod?

Thanks

The harness allows a quicker/easier install, in addition it allows you to brighten or a dim one gauge at a time.

Thank You very much

Do I absolutely need the harness to wire in the LED's? Or does it come with the wiring/buy some for the gauges? I'm guessing I could just wire it into the light switch so they come on with the rest of the lights, and can dim them with the stock switch?

Thanks

Another thing I am wondering..how many of you are running your boost guages from the rubber wastegate hose..or the intake horn?

Thanks..like to know before ordering

Personally, I'd swap the boost for an EGT gauge. The EGT and fuel pressure are the gauges that I watch the most and are the most important.

I know, but right now, I cannot afford to also purchase the pyro at this time. I will probably have that within the next month though. I am not too concerned right now being as my truck is stock...for now.

I just ordered DiPricol Boost and Fuel Pressure Gauges...Boost/Fuel Line Kit(the boost already comes with a kit) and the autometer 3 pod...hopefully everything turns out good.

I know on my truck even with 4" exhaust and a BHAF I could still hit 1250* dead stock so I'd say the pyro is more important but that's just me.

Well I got my two gauges in today and got them installed as well. Here are a couple of pics:

Idle...12.5-13 PSI for FP
Cruising...10.5-11 PSI
WOT...7.5-8 PSI..these are tapped on top of the fuel filter.

Boost goes up to around 15-18PSI(kinda low, but my turbo is old) That is tapped into the intake horn.

I agree, with the above statements. The two most important gauges you can buy, even for a stock truck are, in this order, Fuel Gauge and EGT Gauge (pyro). Then maybe a Tranny Temp Gauge, followed by a Boost Gauge.
