Diesel-dan, FASS parts needed

my truck came with a FASS and big line kit (the blue 1/2" line with push-lock fittings) so i dunno if this is a FASS part or something the previous owner put together. on the fuel supply the banjo bolt was removed and a brass 90* fitting goes into the VP with a little black aluminum bushing that has 12mmx1.5 style threads into the vp, and 1/2" flare style male threads for the 90 to screw onto. is that bushing something comes with the big line kit? that aluminum fitting felt like plastic, no weight to it and it snapped off at the VP. (from what i hear aluminum and diesel dont mix well and it will make it brittle)

EDIT: after a little research i've found that the threads going into the VP44 is a metric 12mmx1.5 size. summit racing and other race places sell a -8AN (1/2" flare) to 12x1.5 adapter.

What you need is a Part number:

DIPF-1001 (Dodge Injection Pump Fitting for a 98.5+ Truck)

If you have 1/2 line, the other owner did that. Our kits come with 3/8" line for that kit. The bad thing is that the DIPF is 12mmx1.5 / 3/8 Flare. This is why he had that fitting in the pump. If you wanted to use our fitting, you would need our PL-1003 (3/8" Flare x 3/8" push lock) and then make a way to adapt it to the 1/2" line you have. Here is a link to our install instructions for the kit on your truck....refer to pgs. 7 & 8 for a list of what is in the kit and part numbers.

thanks for the info dan...it def 1/2" line...just grabbed the piece i cut off and its 1/2" 300psi goodyear. aeroquip/earls makes a 1/2" (-8AN) to 12mmx1.5 adapter in anodized aluminum. i just need to find one and 3' of 1/2" hose local or get it shipped before i dyno on saturday.

with this big 1/2" line i run 13 idle, 10 WOT...do you think i need to get the upgraded spring for high pressure?

I don’t think you are in any danger with that pressure. mine runs 14 and 11 respectively.

1/2" hose part number is FL-1002. Just let them know how much you need. Its sold by the foot. BUT honestly, you should be able to find it localy.....unles you are in the boonies.....

im good...i think the FASS is the ONLY thing left on my truck that came with it when i bought it that i havent replaced or broken yet...so i guess thats a testament to its quality

banks ottomind-gone
banks wastegate and 14 housing-gone
banks gauges-gone
banks 4" exhaust-almost gone, 3' left between DP and stacks
BD short shift-broken and replaced
