Compounds/Injectors for the new engine

As some of you may already know, I recently scooped up 95, which I plan to swap the engine and pump into my 1st Gen

well I spend all night at work day dreaming up a goal for this new build, and have decided I'm going to try compounds on this build

At this exact moment the donor engine is completely stock, but will be receiving a head gasket, studs, and valve springs once we begin the swap. The truck already has gauges, and a well built 47rh, converter, wm injection, sits on 35" tires with 4.10 gears. I'm working on coming up with a shopping list, and maybe some of the parts iv already put into the ve engine are salvagable, and if not, over the winter I'll work on selling them off to collect some moneys.... Before I forget. This is just a hobby truck, not a DD nor a towing rig, looking to make some more power than it previously made, and keep it driveable

I'd like to run compounds this time around. I have a HTT 62/71/13ss, which I ran on the very engine with ddp3 stick, and it ran very well, peaking at 1000 degrees. Is this turbo something I could incorporate into a compound setup? I also have a HX35 and a wh1c. I'd like to run an s475, and if possible use something I may already have, if not I'll sell then off and buy a suggested unit.
For injectors, I'm up in the air. I was leaning towards a 5x14, but I'm sure I'll be informed if I'm way off.

Iv read a lot of guys are running the HX35, some with a larger housing, and an s475. Is this a viable option for my application? It's a hotrod guys, some smoke is alright, obviously I'm not looking to smoke out the town. Im looking to take this build a step farther than last

Maybe I posted this on the wrong page.

I read that a lot of guys recommend the s362/68/.80 with a s475. Am I looking at a dramatic lag/spool difference with my current 62/71/13? I'd like to try to use the turbo since I already have it laying around, unless of course someone with much great knowledge of compounds tells me other wise.

For grins, what are your HP/TQ goals?

I would seriously consider fire rings as well.

I would look at what our member John P has done with his red rocket 96, that thing is a monster and he still can daily drive it, HP is high 800's and TQ is around 1600.

That ought to test your built 47RH...........

Thanks Patdaly.

Ya know, I'm not dead set on a specific HP goal. I'd like to get it to about 600 hp, and work my way up from there. It's a hobby truck. And build up from there. I would really like to run compounds on this build.

It seems like the s362/s475 is a very common set, but due to my lack of experience with compounds and the p7100, I ask for help. The majority of my experience has been with the VE pump, and obviously the p7100 engines can produce much greater Fuel and rpm, and spool much larger turbo than the VE I'm used to

On my VE engine I was running ddp3s, which I am told is similar in fueling to more than 5x12 but less than 5x14. The ddp3s and 62/71/13 had a very happy relationship together, spooled very well, 50psi boost, and 1000 degree max gets. I feel as this would perform well as a secondary.

Sounds like the John P build is roughly what you want.

Tonight I actually caught a rerun episode of Diesel Brothers, and they had built a 12v reg cab, flat bed. That truck they dropped off to industrial injection, and they installed a phat shafts 62/70 and a s474, with 5x12 injectors.

I'm going to give it a shot with my 62/71 and see what happens, but I do need to do more research into the primary turbo, and why they use the s474 instead of the s475.
