I wanna get the drag upgrade done now. I printed the paper off the edge website. Do i just send that paper in and my box and they will do the upgrade? And roughfly how long does it take till you get it back?
Thanks Rob

I've got an Edge Comp on my '01 that I bought from a friend back in August. He used it for truck pulls. Based on the video I shot and shared, the truck is not smokin' out the stacks like it should. Might have a replacement coming.

Wondering what else to add. I was told a Smarty was the way to go. I'm looking for even better acceleration (it's pretty fast already) and much more smoke.

As for the drag comp, yes you just send in the filled out paper and your comp box and they will return it with the drag program. Edge is usually pretty fast with their turn around I would say a week and a half to two weeks. It may be faster but I don't know how long it will take for them to get it in the mail and visa versa.

And for the not smoking, I assume you have the same setup as your friend to be expecting the same smoke. They both play a big role in the amount of smoke above and beyond the comp. Also check the pump wire tap before you go sending it back. If it is loose you won't get the fueling out of the box.
And finally for the stack question. If you want a quicker truck with more smoke go with the smarty. I don't think it adds much on top of the rpm range but it definately adds more fun on the bottom. My brothers 99 has never smoked as much as it did with the smarty on 8 with his comp on 5x5. Oh and faster too.

Good luck with both of your endevors

You will tell alot of difference in smoke and power between the comp and drag. I like the smarty and the difference it makes on smoke plus power and the way it comes in on lower RPM's. When I dynoed my truck at the smokies the smarty hurt my numbers. I gained around 30 HP when I removed it and ran only the drag. I would like to be able to tune the truck between the smarty and the drag stacked on the dyno and see what settings worked out the best.
